Back to Texas!

Well, I realized that I never did a great job posting about our future plans with this move! As you know in March I traveled to Temple and did some job interviews, I was offered a couple of jobs, and was able to accept a position in Labor and Delivery at the large teaching hospital in Temple. I am very excited. The position is part of an internship, mostly for new grads, but I've only been a nurse for a year so I could use the extra classes! I start the job on June 8 (Dan and I's 7th anniversary! and the first one we we'll be apart for) The girls and I will be flying to Texas on June 4th, meanwhile Dan is staying behind finishing out his gig and getting the house ready to move! He will be driving the big truck down around the 15th or so. We will be living with my parents for a while to save money and figure out what our next step is! After a few weeks in TX Dan is flying back up to teach a quick summer course at Sacred Heart University in Bridgeport, CT then he will be back down with us! The plan after that is a little more fuzzy, but at this point Dan is planing on applying for teaching positions, and to doctoral programs. Clara is enrolled in preschool in Temple, and when we visited there in March she loved it. I feel kinda strange about sending her to preschool while we are still seriously considering homeschooling but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Before we can homeschool I would need to be able to work less, and that's not an option yet! Clara is also going to be taking dance and gymnastics this summer and one of those in the fall (whichever she likes better!) She's taking the classes at the same place I took dance! Anna doesn't have any big plans yet, I am hoping to find a babysitter for her on the days I work to give Dan a break and keep her out of Daycare as long as possible. Other than that she is quite intent on learning how to walk and keep up with Clara as soon as possible!

Leaving CT is harder than I anticipated. We know we are making the right decision, but I have more friends and "roots" here than I like to admit! It's been a great (almost) 5 years in all honesty, and I will look back at our time here with fond memories. That being said it is important to live in a place that you can 1)afford and 2) be near family if possible! Thanks for all your prayers and support! I'll be seeing many of you soon, and many thanks and best wishes to my CT friends!
